Destination Defender Ticket Policy

All tickets purchased to Destination Defender are non-refundable. Destination Defender is a rain-or-shine event. Refunds are not provided under any circumstances including rescheduling of the event dates, change of venue, weather, artist or activity cancelations from the lineup, or other acts of God.

If the event overall needs to be rescheduled for any reason, your ticket shall be made valid for the rescheduled dates and shall remain non-refundable. In the case of a complete festival cancellation, we will contact you with further information on refund options.

Your tickets shall remain non-refundable and will be valid for entry and attendance at a new venue shall Destination Defender have to move the event for any reason.

This is a rain-or-shine event. All tickets shall remain non-refundable in the case of bad weather, rain outs, or acts of God.

All Destination Defender add-ons such as on-site experiences are all non-refundable. Ticket service fees and credit card processing fees, if charged by the ticketing provider, shall remain non-refundable.

If Destination Defender cancels the event in its entirety, and does not reschedule the event, you will be contacted with further instruction on refunds.

All tickets purchased from a third party, or tickets transferred to another party shall be non-refundable under all circumstances including complete event cancelation.

You agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein by purchasing any item or   ticket from Destination Defender.

Destination Defender reserves the right to adjust this policy at any time.

All accommodation bookings may be cancelled up until Wednesday, October 15th. After this date, cancellations will not be accepted, and all bookings will be non-refundable.

What is included in my ticket?
Your ticket includes access to the festival grounds and all standard programming, except for paid add-on experiences. You'll also have access to curated talks, live music, and drive experiences. Please reference the "Agenda" page when it is live, for more information about add-on experiences. We're still finalizing the full schedule and will share more details soon.

Food is not included in the general admission ticket price, but there will be food options available for purchase onsite. If you're camping overnight, you're welcome to bring your own food.

Are there age restrictions / can I bring a child?
Children of all ages are welcome. Children under 12 are free to attend. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

Is there a deadline for registration?
There is no registration deadlines. However, availability is limited - book now to guarantee your spot.

How will I receive my wristband?
Upon arrival you will present your digital ticket / registration confirmation and be given your wristband through your car window at check-in.

Do I need to own a Defender to attend this event?
No, you do not have to be a Defender owner to attend. Tickets are on sale for anyone interested in attending.

Are there any ID requirements (for access / ticket collection)?
Please bring a photo ID.

Cancellation and refunds - what is the policy?
All tickets purchased to Destination Defender are non-refundable. Destination Defender is a rain-or-shine event. Refunds are not provided under any circumstances, including rescheduling of the event dates, change of venue, weather, artist or activity cancellations, variations from the lineup, or other unexpected changes.

Is re-entry allowed?
Yes, you are welcome to leave the site over the weekend and come back. Your wristband will be required for re-entry.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else / name change?
Yes tickets are transferable. Please notify us of the change via email info@destinationdefenderusa.com.

Who can I contact about my ticket?

What if I lose my wristband?
Please see a member of staff at the information desk or registration area to arrange a replacement.

Can I buy a ticket at the gate?
Yes, however all tickets at the gate are subject to availability and we encourage guests to purchase ahead of time.

Parking - what is the location, hours, and cost?
Parking is included in the price of your ticket. If you are a day ticket holder, you will be guided to the appropriate parking lot to leave your vehicle for the day, and then shuttled to the festival area via golf cart. Please note that the festival hours for day ticket holders are: Friday 10am - 10pm, Saturday 9am - 10pm, and Sunday 9am - 5pm. If you are a vehicle camping ticket holder, you will be directed to the appropriate parking/campground area, where you will be able to park your vehicle by your campsite. If you are an overnight guest staying in the Glamping tents, you will be directed to the check-in area where you will be shown your tent and will be able to park near your site. If you are an overnight guest staying in the onsite hotel accommodations, you will be directed to the check-in area where you will be able to park next to your accommodations.

Accessibility - what ADA provisions are there?
Wheelchair-accessible entrance, wheelchair accessible parking lot, and wheelchair accessible event facilities.

What are the nearest airports?
The nearest airports are:

  • Stewart International Airport (SWF) (Newburgh, NY): The closest, but has more limited, smaller-scale flight options.
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) (Newark, NJ): Often considered the most convenient major hub for international/domestic flights.
  • LaGuardia Airport (LGA) (Queens, NY): A major airport, but requires traveling through NYC traffic.
  • Sullivan County International Airport (MSV) (White Lake, NY): A small local airport for private flights, located closer to Port Jervis. 


Is there a first aid station / medic onsite?
We have first aid-trained staff and EMT onsite each day of the event. In case of. an emergency, please notify the closest festival employee so we can respond accordingly. For general, non-life-threatening situations, please head to the Canteen, next to The Marketplace, where we will be able to call any necessary help required.

Is there a lost and found area?
If you happen to lose or find something while onsite, please head to the Canteen, next to The Marketplace, and speak to a representative.

What can I expect from the weather?
May in Port Jervis offers mild and pleasant spring conditions. You can expect average daytime highs ranging from 65°F to 73°F. Evening temperatures typically cool down to between 43°F and 52°F.

The weather is often a mix of sun and clouds. There is a moderate chance of spring showers as the month progresses. We recommend dressing in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day and night.

Specific weather data for Port Jervis in May includes:

  • Average High: 69°F
  • Average Low: 46°F
  • Precipitation: Approximately 3.6 inches of rain over 10-12 days


What time is check-in and check-out for the hotel accommodations?
Guests are welcome to check in from 10:00 AM on Friday, May 15th.

Check out on Sunday, May 17th is 3:00 PM.

We have 3 sizes of glamping tents that we offer:
Regular (13' wide canvas tent that sleeps 1 person comfortably): 
Twin bed frame & pillow top, mattress - with duvet, pillows, & bed sheets, Outside Patio Chair, Bedside Lamp, Bedside Table, Pole Mounted Light, Coat Rack, Interior Rug, Power Strip for Charging Purposes, Interior Chair, Sets of bath towels, and Tent Lock with keys.

Medium (16' wide canvas tent that sleeps 2 people comfortably): 
2 twin OR 1 full bed frame(s) & mattress(es) - with duvet, pillows, & bed sheets, Outside Patio Chairs, Bedside Lamp, Bedside Table, Pole Mounted Light, Coat Rack, Interior Rug, Power Strip for Charging Purposes, Interior Chair, Sets of bath towels, and Tent Lock with keys.

Large (20' wide canvas tent that sleeps 4 people comfortably): 
2 twin beds & 1 full bed frames & mattresses OR 2 full bed frames with mattresses - with duvet, pillows, & bed sheets, Outside Patio Chair, Bedside Lamp, Bedside Table, Pole Mounted Light, Coat Rack, Interior Rug, Power Strip for Charging Purposes, Interior Chair, Sets of bath towels, and Tent Lock with keys.

Are there electrical / power outlets?
Yes, there will be power strips in each glamping tent for charging your devices & powering small household items.

What are the shower and toilet facilities?
The Glamping area features private, residential-style restrooms with individual stalls, each equipped with heating and air conditioning. The shower trailers offer individual stalls with adjustable water temperature, hooks for clothes and towels, a changing area with a bench, and locking door latches for privacy.

What do I need to pack?
Cooler and/or water jugs to refill, Lantern / flashlight / headlamp (and extra batteries), Stainless steel water bottle, Rain gear (just in case), Clothing layers / light jacket (it can get chilly at night), Extra shoes/sneakers, Mud boots (just in case), Bug spray, Sunscreen, A hat for shade, Sunglasses, Your favorite campsite snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Trash / recycling - do I need to take it with me?
There are waste bins positioned around the glampsite for your use.

Is there a waitlist (when sold out)?
Please send an email to info@destinationdefenderusa.com to join the waitlist once an onsite accommodation has sold out.

Can I drive right up to my glamping spot?
Upon arrival, you will be directed to the check-in area where you will be shown your tent and will be directed on parking as close as possible to your accommodations.

What is the cancellation policy?
All accommodation bookings may be cancelled and fully refunded up until Wednesday, April 15th. After this date, cancellations will not be accepted, and all bookings will be non-refundable.

What time is check-in and check-out for Glamping?
Guests are invited to check-in from 10:00 AM on Friday, May 15th. Check out is at 3:00pm on Sunday, May 17th.

How big are the campsites?
Each campsite is 20 feet x 30 feet, which allows enough space for you to park your vehicle and camp right next to it. We do ask that once your vehicle is parked, to not move it freely around the area for the safety of other guests.

Can I drive right up to my camping spot?
Yes, upon arrival you will be directed to the appropriate parking area, and directed to your campsite.

What can I put on my camping spot?
Vehicles and tents are allowed within your vehicle camping spot. If you wish to bring an RV or camping trailer, please purchase a Camping Trailer spot. 

Can I camp next to my friends?
We fill campsites in the order that people arrive, therefore we cannot guarantee that you will be camping directly next to your friends at another campsite. If you would like to camp with your friends, please try to caravan in so that you will be parked next to each other.

Are there electricity outlets and water bibbs?
These sites are pitch only and there are no powered sites / water sources for vehicle camping.

What are the shower and toilet facilities?
There are communal shower blocks and bathrooms, with privacy stalls.

What should I pack?
Camping gear (Tents & Shelters, Sleeping Bags & Beds, Tarp), A shade structure for your campsite, Cooler and/or water jugs to refill, Lantern / flashlight / headlamp (and extra batteries), Stainless steel water bottle, Camping chairs, tables, etc., Rain gear (just in case), Clothing layers / light jacket (it can get chilly at night), Extra shoes/sneakers, Mud boots (just in case), Bug spray, Sunscreen, A hat for shade, Sunglasses, Biodegradable plastic bags for trash, Toilet paper, Extra set of keys to keep with you at all times, Vehicle key code, Small stove or grill if you would like to cook some of your own food, Small luggage lock for your tent, Shower soaps, detergents, and shampoos, Blanket (for sitting), Earplugs, Your favorite campsite snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Trash / recycling - do I need to take it with me?
There are garbage bins distributed around the campsites and venue.

What time is check-in for the vehicle camping?
Guests are invited to check-in from 10:00 AM on Friday May, 15th. Check out is at 3:00pm on Sunday May, 17th.

Once accommodations are sold out, is there a waitlist?

What size is the trailer parking space?
Trailer parking spaces are 45 foot x 20 foot camping spaces with enough space for a camping trailer up to 22 feet in length. Your trailer, vehicle and all camping accessories will need to be contained within this space.

Is there water and power?
No, The trailer camping spots are primitive spots and do not offer any shore power or water hookups.

What are the shower and toilet facilities?
There are indoor communal shower blocks and bathrooms, with privacy stalls.

Trash / recycling - do I need to take it with me?
There are garbage bins distributed around the campsites and venue.

Is there a general store?
Yes, there will be a Defender Store onsite that will sell general items as well as official Destination Defender merchandise.

What type of food outlets are there / opening times?
There will be a food marketplace on site that will have hot and takeaway breakfast, lunch, & dinner options for purchase. There will also be signature culinary experiences to purchase as an add-on to your ticket. The details of these experiences coming soon. There will be barista and bar service available during the event as well.

What payment methods are accepted?
Credit / debit cards will be the only source of payment utilized onsite during the event.

Are there water refill stations?
Yes, we will have water refill stations throughout the event site. We encourage people to bring a reusable water bottle to cut down on the use of single-use plastics.

Can I buy ice?
No, unfortunately, ice will not be available for sale.

Is soliciting or promotion allowed onsite? 
No soliciting is permitted at Destination Defender.  You may not display or distribute promotional materials, flyers, business cards, samples, or branded items unless you have prior approval from the event organizers.

Are vehicle transport trailers allowed? Can I bring my Defender on a trailer?
Yes, vehicle transport trailers are allowed with the following guidelines: All trailers must be under 25' long and 9' wide. Parking space is limited, and trailer passes will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Trailers will be parked in a designated area onsite. All trailer movement and parking must be managed by the vehicle owner. Once parked, trailers must remain in place for the duration of the event. Vehicles that are being transported can only be offloaded at the final trailer parking spot. Offloading of the vehicle will not be allowed until the trailer is fully positioned in its designated location. A trailer pass must be selected during registration to reserve onsite parking for your vehicle transport trailer.

Is there a bag check policy?
No, there is not a bag check policy.

Are musical instruments / speakers allowed?
Acoustic instruments are allowed at your campsite but please be mindful of your neighbors and respectful of the quiet hours (11pm - 8am). No amplified / electric instruments will be allowed. Bluetooth speakers are allowed at your campsite, but please keep them at an appropriate level that does not disturb your neighbors.

Are generators allowed?
Due to the close proximity to other campsites, generators will not be allowed to reduce the ambient noise level in the campgrounds and for the safety of our guests. We do encourage you to bring battery banks to power / charge your devices if needed.

Are pets allowed?
Pets must be on a leash or in the owner's vehicle at all times. Pets must be kept away from other pets and guests unless permission is granted. No pets other than service animals are permitted in any of the indoor spaces. Owners must clean up the pet's waste and properly dispose of it in the provided receptacles. The pet must be in good physical condition and vaccinated, and owner must provide documentation from a veterinarian or health authority upon request. Pets may not enter areas designated for dining or food services. Pets are not permitted in any of the hotel or glamping accommodations. Certain activities, facilities, or other guests may not allow pets. Owner agrees to abide by these restrictions, whether posted or given verbally.

Are campfires allowed?
No open fires are allowed in the vehicle camping or glamping fields. There will be fire pits around the property maintained by the festival. Gas grills are allowed.

Alcohol
No outside alcohol is allowed on premises but there will be bars selling wine, spirits, and beer onsite. We will also have some unique tasting experiences that will be announced shortly.

Can I bring my bicycle, scooter, or other wheeled device?
Bicycles, scooters, e-bikes, skateboards, and other motorized or wheeled devices are not permitted within the event site.

What is the music lineup / where can I find details?
The full music lineup can be found on the Schedule section. To learn more about the event schedule please reference our Schedule tab. We will continuously update this page with more details so check back frequently.

Do I need to register for activities?
Activities will be listed on the schedule. These activities will be first come first serve on site, so arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time to reserve your spot and pay for the add on.

Are there any children's activities?
There will be some children's activities onsite, including the chance for kids to drive a miniature Defender! These will be announced with the rest of the schedule soon. As a reminder, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
